Tell me what is Christ-like about interupting college educations pressuring people to drop out for Jesus? Or getting people to "forsake all" only to dump them with no return after taking hundreds to thousands and even hundreds of thousands of assets from them? Or breaking up families by taking others wives or husbands away from them and making marriage to one person a bad thing? Or sexualizing children and advocating child sexual abuse and rape?
What makes you think that every person that joined was burnt out or a waste case? That isn't the case. BUT for those whose lives were out of control and who were hurting, for Berg to take them in or for his leaders to take them in and make them disciples supposedly for Jesus and then to do all the above terrible things mentioned above and MORE IN THE NAME OF JESUS, I have to say NO! I don't have anything at all to be grateful to DB about.
But I can appreciate myself and that I survived with most of my family in spite of the odds against us after getting out. Especially since there was not much in the way of help after getting out.
