First of all,
The world reaction was not "quite positive". In every country where the family ever existed it was eventually thrown out. And it was not "persecution" for righteousness sake, it was a just reaction to the Family's evil.
It's true we were so busy raising funds that we didn't have much time to focus on the evil of Berg's doctrines. That's part of the mind control. Keeping people to busy to focus.
I thank God that He did finally help me to focus and see just what a horror the Family is.
There is no way to fix the Family at a local level when the major problems come straight from the top.
Sure we were reaching out to people, trying to seduce them and pick their pockets. And offer them a totally warped idea of the gospel.
Where's all that fruit you think you brought forth? Most people who ever encountered the Family soon regretted that encounter.
There are many more ex-members than members of the Family and the vast majority of ex-members consider it to be an abusive cult.
