I had a dream once in TF just after the first Kohutek letter came out. In this dream I looked in the sky and saw a flying penis go by that resembled a comet. This was before Berg likened the comet to his own penis. I thought that was pretty odd at the time. But when Berg eventually did the same thing, I thought that I, too, had received a prophetic dream. But what the heck did it mean? It should have warned us all that were still clueless that Berg was a nymphomaniac who idolized his own penis. Next, in the dream, I was sitting in front of a fortune teller. I had never been to a true fortune teller in my life. She put a white powder on my hand so that the lines in my palm were more distinct. Then she told me something very troubling. She said, "You have had one crisis in your life (my mother's death) and there are two yet to come." I was naturally troubled after the dream, and wondered what it could mean. It was, as you commented in regard to Berg's dreams, very vague. It was a spirit of fear and bondage. We, as Berg's followers, were also vulnerable to that spirit that he carried. Some of us still have it, I'm afraid.
Julius:
>It appears that Mo had a spirit of divination, especially after he visited that witches coven in New England, and was irresistibly drawn to Madame M, the gypsy woman, and had a fascination for the occult.,but divination is just psychic power. It is a spirit that imitates the Holy Spirit to give knowledge that is not from God. How do you witness to someone about Jesus using an electric angel? An angel of light. MO saw many angels of light, and many of them were his lovers. Spirits of divination that enchanted him. He really lacked the gift of discernment.
He was charismatic, and had talents and knew how to use them, even after the Spirit of God left if he ever had it.

I think that this is the KEY to Berg, too. You've explained it well. Berg could also turn on the charm when luring a potential convert. Faithy projected that, too. I don't necessarily think that they feigned it. However, it's the lack of humility and great pride that revealed Berg's true nature in the end. There were some very important characteristics of a weak leader from Andrew's post that I wish everyone would think about in regard to Berg, Maria and Pete. I noted how the weak leader always blamed problems on others and had a propensity for micro managing. This was one of Berg's biggest weaknesses. Sure he used to weep and wail at times because he felt he was failing God but it was never for the right reasons. A weak leader also drives people rather than leads by example. Berg was so busy hiding out that he really lost touch with the little guy. He was much more successful as a teacher of the Bible, although much of his doctrine was questionable there, too. He made the mistake of not knowing where his true gifts were. When he tried to become the prophet and usurp the authority of the Word, he SHOULD have foreseen his doom.
Another note on his "prophecies," which you mentioned, is that fact that none of his BIG important prophecies for the U.S. ever happened. There will always be those that say in years to come that they did eventually take place and the timing was all wrong. That would be pure BS, as Berg was SO certain of the timing when he received them. Besides it's been said over and over again that he is only one among many who have prophesied against America and some of them don't claim the status of prophet. There are those who prophesied regarding terrorist strikes within our borders. Now they were people who were reading the signs of the times.
