In Response To: Joy. (LTX)

I'm just one of those who decided to think that the Word really comes alive when I apply it to my daily life. After all, what's it there for? God wants to speak to us, but if we do not hear His recorded written Word, how can we learn to hear the living Word?

People like Berg, who say they hear from God, but reject what the Bible says are fulfilling that verse,"He that is of God heareth God's Word, Ye therefore, hear them not because ye are not of God"

And that doesn't mean you have to listen and obey every Tom, Dick and Harry and Joe blow who comes along with weird Bible interpretations saying that because you don't receive what he says you are rejecting the Word.

That is as bad as Berg who excommunicated Joel because he was challenging the MO Letters, saying that Joel was rejecting the Word of the Lord. That is Arrogance and the height of presumption.

Some people go around just quoting the Bible but it is totally out of context with the original intention for what it was written for in the first place. To feed His sheep.

It's like the guy in the movie "In Search Of the Castaways" with Haley Mills. The crazy weird guy, Bill Gaye, who was a ship mate who went around mis-quoting the Bible and quoting and applying it out of context .
