Dear Sir/Madame,
To even begin, I find your post to be slightly offensive.--Pardon me, not just slightly, but arrogantly offensive. Here is why:
Without explaining exactly how many years or decades you existed inside, or whether you were born and raised inside the Family, you just politely claim to have left voluntarily in 1996. Also, you insist that you personally, never witnessed or were a victim of any sort of abuse.
How can someone who lived and worked inside a religious group, whose most critical attribute by the Bible and Mo Letters is to be "honest", approach this message board to tell everyone that the people who used to execute abusive activities were caught and dealt with a long time ago?
You state that you personally never witnessed any kind of abuse, and that you left in 1996 of your own accord. You tell everybody this, after Ricky and a woman who helped him start his life are dead, and Ricky is accused for both deaths.
Now, just what is your intention in posting this here, when you have had since 1996 to tell us such good news about yourself? Something smells pretty bad around here.
Maybe one reason is for that reason itself, that it gives you something for yourself. Maybe it gives you a good feeling, like maybe you are earning your good status in the Family's eyes.
However, this brings me to another point.--Selfishness! Why would you be using a tragic event like this to earn favor with the Family? Do you yourself maybe have skeletons in your closet, of some kind??? The Bible and Mo Letters also pushed "unselfishness" to the extreme. So, why are you kissing up to the Family in your selfishness, when this has happened?
To start out with, for you to come here and proclaim that you personally never witnessed any kind of abuse to yourself or others, is a lie! To comfortably say that you chose to quit, and blended in as an average American citizen is an even more exxagerated lie!
Five years ago, exactly December 2000, what led me to this message board was a referral to a post by Jay. During that time I was extremely defensive and over-protective of the Family's security, because I was sure that all the Leadership responsible for real dirt had been excommunicated.
Because I thought the people responsible for everything of the '70's-'80's were part of the Cult Awareness Network, and working with Ted Patrick, I replied to Jay (formerly Jordan Fisherman) here.
I was on a campaign to settle a few accounts, and prevent a Waco Holocaust against the Family. However, when I began reading what happened to people after the TTC (1986) and JETT program (1990) began, and noticed why WS was so thorough in how to explain everything to us insiders whenever somebody quit the Family.
For quite a few months, both Family and Family-bashers were trying to figure me out. What anybody inside or outside the Family thought about me didn't matter a stone-fuck to me. What mattered to me, was that both current Leadership and ex-Family former Leadeship needed their asses kicked.--And I sure as hell wasn't going to let the decent Family members I knew go down like Waco did.
When I learned what the so-called "apostates" had to say, and especially the people I referred to as RNR Children, I confronted Maria via email, and posted a copy of the letter on NDN.
Around a year or so later, a concerted effort was repeated by a group of SGA's. Whereas maria totally ignored my email, she used the SGA's email to spit in their faces, and demand the dictatorial reign of terror against the Family in Brazil.
WS's usual statement about the deaths of ex-Family to the Family is nothing new. You go suck-up to the Family all you want, but you sure think ex-Family are stupid. Anyway, knock-yourself-out with your feeble attempt to support the "Power of The Keys", your "Husband and Lover"--the homosexual Jesus! Chuckle-chuckle!
