It seldom snows much in this part of France, but yesterday it snowed all day and the road maintenance folks were caught napping.

Traffic conditions were terrible yesterday evening and many people in my village didn't get home from work until late last night. And then it snowed even more during the night, so today the situation is even worse. Driving is next to impossible, so everybody who can is taking the train.

I sure hope there is a thaw soon because it is a really serious mess.
