There is NOOOOOOO scripural support for the 'gap' theory between the 69 and 70th week. This theory was first cooked up by dispensationalists and the way they support it is to say that once the 'church' is taken away in the 'Rapture'--then God resumes His main plan for Israel. In-other-words when the Jews killed their Messiah, God stopped the clock at the end of the 69thweek and doesn't resume it again until the Rapture when the last Gentile cones in to the church and the Rapture occurs and then all Israel gets saved and blah, blah, blah...
The entire pre-trib, post-trib arguement is entirely based on the false premise of the gap theory and that last 70th week still being somewhere off in the future.
The Preterists put the entire 70 weeks in the past beginning with the command to rebuild the street and wall back in 45? BC and ending 3 1/2 years after Jesus crucifixtion with the stoning of Stephen.
Now Joel has his theory of the entire 70 weeks being in the future. Can you lay that out for us Joel?
