I started re-reading Rev again this morning and the very 1st verse of the Book says: "The Rev of JC, which God gave unto him, to show unto his servants things which must 'SHORTLY COME TO PASS.'" That's got me thinking (again) that maybe (maybe again) the Book of Rev was written for that time back then - for the time of the Roman persecutions before and during the fall of
Rome.

And the third verse says, "Blessed is he that reads, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, "for the time is at hand."

I'm not sure how the Millenium fits (if at all) into any of that though. If it does, what happened in history for 1000 years after the fall of Rome? Was there a 1000 years of believer kings and priests as in Constantine and the Popes, etc. Following some of that reasoning, what about the history of the world after that - what about us now? Could we somehow be living in the days of Gog and Magog, for example?
