In Response To: who's mixed up?? (ebw)

In the Bible (OT) We see God indeed, ordered just that, meaning Jesus did too.

I don't hold you in high enough esteem (you are not my guru) to believe that God did not do this.

But that was then, and Jesus obviously said no to the disciples indivivually doing anything like that.

He did speak alot of war and how it would bring suffering.

So although it is hard to grasp this paradox, you cannot reject the Old Testament just because you think you are merciful then God. The old "if I were God, I would have never order such a thing"
