(Linda Tx) All the depth of thought and emotion and pure inspiration of holy spirit that dwell in such hymns is dispized and rejected by much of the "modern" church.
You almost never hear hymns in church nowadays.
Instead, you get catchy rythmic choruses that stir the body and the emotions in a sort of charismatic way, but dull the mind and the heart.
