In Response To: The richness of hymns (ebw)
We use to despise the churches, because of the "dead hymns" they used to sing. Now we despise the churches because they sing more lively stuff!lol Can't win can they?
Of course I don't mean we exactly. I'm quite happy with the hymns my church sings, which is a mixture of traditional with newer songs as well.
I think though that the more traditional hymns were terribly interested in getting it right. Today sometimes christian songs jar me, because they aren't exactly doctrinally correct. But I don't get to uptight about! (grin)
