I didn't think that that cartoon looked like your style. But I was thinking that it was perhaps an earlier piece, hence the crudeness. Anyway, I'm going to be completely honest with you. You've done an excellent job of copying from Michael Angelo. I won't comment on the muscles since you asked me about the hands. I have found myself that it's far easier to copy another's art than draw from life. One thing that is problematic about drawing from a photo (which I have on occasion) is that one often gets an image on the canvas that lacks a completely 3d appearance, if that is the desire.
