We use to despise the churches, because of
the "dead hymns" they used to sing.

Now we despise the churches because they sing more lively stuff!
lol Can't win can they?

Just who are the "we" you are referring to here Lydia?
You and who else???

As for me, (who wrote the post you are responding to) I never in my life criticized the churches for their use of hymns.

I owe my salvation to those old hymns and I thank God for them. I have hundreds of them memorized. They were the best thing churches had going for them. The last vestige of the spirit of God.

But now they are gone. Replaced by jingles.

And the spirit of God has left the churches.
The music has died.
But some folks like it that way.
