I think I agree, but could you give some examples of how you think the term "antichrist" is diluted and misused?

What has made you start to think differently about THE antichrist?

A very interesting book -- well-documented without being overly technical -- is "Before Jerusalem Fell", by Kenneth Gentry. On a slightly more introductory level, I'd recommend "The Last Days according to Jesus", by R.C. Sproul. I bought them both "used, in like-new condition" over the internet, like most everything else on my bookshelf.
