Actually, the following is scientifically true.

There is Mental/Emotional pain Yes--but that is all SUBJECTIVE. There is as yet NO biological marker to diagnose any Psychiatric "disease".

".. In recent decades, we have had no shortage of alleged biochemical imbalances for psychiatric conditions. Diligent though these attempts have been, not one has been proven. Quite the contrary. In every instance where such an imbalance was thought to have been found, it was later proven false. ... No claim of a gene for a psychiatric condition has stood the test of time, in spite of popular misinformation." Joseph Glenmullen, M.D., clinical instructor in psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, in his book Prozac Backlash.

> To state that THERE IS NO SUCH PHYSICAL PAIN
> TO A PSYCIATRIC DISORDER is evidence that
> Dr. Breggin's has never suffered from
> Depression or Bi-polar disorder, or, say
> schizophrenia.

But the pain is SUBJECTIVE, in-other-words the doctor says how do YOU feel. He has no biological test to give you to arrive at his diagnosis. "Depression is never defined by an objective physical finding, such as a blood test or brain scan. ... Attempts have also been made to find physical markers for depression, the equivalent of lab tests that indicate liver disease or a recent heart attack. Despite decades of research, thousands of research studies, and hundreds of millions of dollars in expense, no marker for depression has been found"-Breggin

You're right to call it "Serotonin theory" because it is NOT FACT. In-other-words it is just some guys/gals guess. "In reality, science does not have the ability to measure the levels of any biochemical in the tiny spaces between nerve cells (the synapses) in the brain of a human being. All the talk about biochemical imbalances is sheer speculation aimed at promoting psychiatric drugs. ... science has almost no understanding of how the widespread serotonin system functions in the brain. Basically, we don't know what it does."--Breggin

Did you know that LSD does the same thing as well as Angel Dust? Eli Lily had the patent on LSD and 'tweaked it' an 'cut it' till they came up with Prozac.

> Like any drug, it's not perfect and doesn't

The withdrawal is a bitch though.

Just because this Dr. is

He's not refuting them all.

Actually, his books quote more science than any of the literature released by the drug companies that push this stuff.

> LOL

Ha!-- Just wait till we have some kind of national emergency and these people can't get their Seritonin fix, it will be a real looney bin! :)
