The site (linked below) is pretty good for answering your questions with natural solutions. I think part of the problem, I know it is with me, is that we tend to look for a quick fix or easy solution. Drugs do help to alleviate symptoms but they don't cure anything and cause more problems in the long run.
If I don't keep up with my health regime I have to get a drug fix (Prednisone) when I work in houses with cats. But I've also found that when I drink a lot of water and exercise and not take in too much coffee or alcohol I can be around cats with no problems.
