Everyone who knows me knows I love to sing and dance. And I don't really have any talent. But I bought a book on sale half price called "Then Sings my Soul", by Robert J. Morgan. I bought a keyboard piano at Costco, because I always wanted to learn the piano too. And I took some lessons. At least I have friends who pray.

Well, guess who is pretty much responsible for the music changes in the church. The JESUS REVOLUTION. And the COG. Yes. When the church saw they were losing their youth, they decided to upgrade their music programs to be more YOUTH USER FRIENDLY.

I think they are out of BALANCE. But Berg was right when he said EVERY REVOLUTION THREW OUT SOME OF THE GOOD IN THEIR FANATICISM.

The Protestant Reformation threw out beautiful art in the churches because they said the Catholics had become IDOLATROUS. But God is an artist. And even the old testament showed that the first people to be "Filled with the Spirit" were the artisans building the tabernacle in the wilderness. God wanted the place where he dwelled to be beautiful.

But anyway, there are many old hymns that will be lost to younger generations unless Grandpas and Grandma's (us) sing them to them.

I think the churches should sing an old song in with the new stuff. Some of the old songs can be speeded up a bit, jazzed up a bit without ruining them.
