Sacramento investigative reporter Gary Webb was killed Dec 13 by two gunshots to the face.

He was best known for his exposé of links between crack cocain sales in the US and the CIA "contras" death squads in central America.

The coroner ruled Webb's death a suicide.

(that second shot must have really been a toughy)

Webb is the fourth such investigative reporter to have "committed suicide" in 2004.

Guess it's the stress.
