Wow' It sounds so beautiful and peaceful. I grew up in Southern Cal but left to hippie communes in the Grants Pass area of Southern Oregon. There I fell in love with the wilderness. I built a log cabin on one commune in Wilderville and went into the wilderness to live alone and hunt for the truth. It was so beautiful. Twenty miles of dirt road and then 10 mile hike and cross the river to where the Klondike and Yukon creeks met. I was so lonely in that beautiful place.
I walked away and hitched to Washington State where I ended up in a weird place. The Love Family and then the Children of God a little later. I never forgot the beauty you mentioned of the frozen north. Thanks for the input
