Medication in Recovery

One thing that is common for some people to feel is that it shows a weakness or lack of faith to take medications or seek medical treatment for illness. It seems a number of ex members suffer from anxiety and depression that is clinical, meaning it isn't all just a figment of your imagination or being a hypochondriac, but real physical discomfort occurs due to these medical illnesses for which there are simple treatments.

I wanted to say here that i take both an antidepressant and an anti anxiety agent, both very effective to relieve unnecessary stress due to Depression and PTSD. Neither medication has any noticable side effects for me and I had to try and fail with some, under a doctor's supervision, a doctor I trust, before finding the right combination that worked. The same goes for other illnesses.
It saddened me deeply to read at the Family's site for those who had passed on that a young woman or teen had died after "going by faith" and quit taking her heart medication. What a sad thing considering people can lead normal productive lives with simple help.
I wanted to write this in case anyone has struggled or is struggling with the idea of getting treatment for these issues. I can say for me that it is the difference between night and day. :)
