It got real cold right after this, so not to worry. I never remember having such a warm day when we picked grapes the other years. This was unusual.

On the same day, our friend took us to his wine cellar and we tasted the wine from his "birthday barrel". It had been carved very beautifully for his 60 bday last year. (will show that too)

In this picture, he climbed to the top of the barrel and used one of those glass extractors to suck the wine out. He then used it to fill our glasses. I think these kind of things are so neat. I just love traditions like this.
