Our lovely little country home out in the middle of green rolling hills didn't last long. After a few months of weekly road trips and wine sodden weekends home, we were all transfered to one of the homes in Bordeaux. Jeremy, Jonas and I all ended up in the same home on the outskirts of the city. To get there we needed to take a smaller commuter train just a few stops. Our home was two stories and quite large.

There were numerous people living there including a married couple from Fougeres. The wife was named Dawn. She was a Canadian. They had two or three kids at that time, I don't remember exactly. The thing that stood out the most about this couple was all the complaints about them taking other peoples linens. You seriously had to watch your sheets because they would disappear and then later be found, dirty and used, on the floor in a pile in their room. Dawn was a singer and had sung professionally in Canada. She was very beautiful and had a wonderful voice.

The sleeping arrangements in this home were dismal. We slept on bare mattresses on the floor and there was little to no blankets. Those of us who were regulars on roadtrips had our sleeping bags but I remember one time coming home after everyone had gone to sleep. I couldn't find my things in the storage room, no sleeping bag and no duffel bag of clothing. Someone had rifled through my things and taken them.I slept without anything that night. It was cold. The next day I gathered up the few bits and pieces that I could find laying around and reclaimed them.

Litnessing in Bordeaux was still good. We were riding the wave of the success of Les Enfants De Dieu. The French public loved them. Their television show was enormously popular. I remember some of the mommies litnessing with their babies in strollers on the walking street. That's all I ever saw of Bordeaux. I have no idea of what sorts of interesting sights there may be there but they had a great walking street, lots of shops and really long.

This was during the time that Jeremy told me that he no longer wanted to marry me. Anyone who has ever had a broken heart knows how painful this part of my life was. I still had to live with him and work with him, knowing that he didn't love me. Frequently I was sent out on the road and sometimes it was with Jonas, who changed his name to Pierre. We still didn't get along but we had learned how to work together without getting too upset at each other.

I remember one roadtrip I was on with Pierre/Jonas. It was a long boring day litnessing in the parking lot of some gigantic store. I was doing terrible as usual in bringing in money and was meeting a lot of unfriendly people. It was hot. I was tired and very unhappy. I went and sat on a bench next to the roadside. This girl came and sat with me. I had seen her in the parking lot also, doing something similar to what we were doing. She turned out to be a moonie. She had came over to talk to me to cheer me up. She had seen what a difficult time I was having. There was no witnessing or trying to get me to change my life or beliefs. She simply wanted to comfort me. To this day I am grateful to that girl. Her compassion helped me at a time when I really needed it.

Then came a new edict down from Paris that they were going to do something radical....long term roadtrips for two months a time. An entire summer of living on the road by faith. Because every cent you made had to be sent in. Every bite of food you ate had to be provisioned. The only time you could come back to the home was to refill on literature and albums. Because yes, now we were to sell the "Bible" Album by Les Enfants De Dieu. It was a major push to bring in money.
