Women and the argument of Slavery

Past a few verses in Genesis and Isaiah, I find the nature and effect of the fall, the corruption of humanity, and the magnitude of the depth of subsequent evil are far too an enormous subject to tackle here. But in our very recent history, the Church and society in general has struggled with, and is still in some nations struggling with the problems of slavery, class hierarchy and discrimination. Some of us have heard the paltry pretexts that have been used to excuse slavery of the past century (though in many countries it is still active today), and the genocide of our parents generation.

Here is my question? Do we as women find that some of these same attitudes and arguments that have been, and still are being used to keep us “in our Place “, and in much of the world, uneducated, inconsequential, powerless and enslaved. Does society, even women themselves, tolerate, allow and excuse abuse?
