So true Lolo. You make a lot of sense. Women have survived, pushed forward and used theํr creative abilities to make a place where no place was offered. They have accomplished great things in spite of the inequitable standards around them.
When given power, though, they have not always been kind or fair. And unfortunately many woman are satisfied with their status and like the ease of lack of responsibility. I tend to say, some like being "kept". That's rather harsh, but often the girl at the alter under the spell of "I luv you and will always take care of you" does not have a clue what she will face 10-15-30 years down the line. We have it relatively easy in the West, though.
I think one of the positive effect of the feminist revolution in the west, though it been rather unsettling and often confusing, is that some men have waked up and come to terms with a lot when forced to. Some even found that that the girl next door has a brain, talents abilities and value. We hope they will, we like them for the most part.
I found this article rather interesting as the author is an intelligent, educated, respectable and probably well paid male, and still he's an emotionally, uneducated, ignorant moron when it come to more than 1/2 the human race. I'm sure he'd consider Indira Gandhi, Golda Meier, C. Rice or Margaret Thatcher, a poor catch?!
