That's rather obessive behavior, I just wonder, you know my younger son has autism (there are different levels) because he was diagnosed early, we were able to get help and help him ourselves, I can't begin to imagine how he would have fared in the family (probably prayed over for demons)

The thing is they can be quite smart, but their communication and social skills are pretty much zero unless they have special training. Even eye contact is difficult.

I've seen children at the lower end of the spectrum who can not communicate without huge frustration problems, ending up in violence because they can not express themselves. My son had these problems too, but because he has had lots of help, most people don't even know. Anyway one of the things is that they get into mainly one thing and stick to that, rather like you described. But of course that's not the only thing.

If he was a child that was more difficult then the rest, then it could be, because that's how I knew that there was something wrong, as children, they have no stopping points and really don't comprehend boundaries.
