And being ordained as a priest, pastor are different.

Concerning the “constant practice of the Church”, in antiquity the Church Fathers Irenaeus,[14] Tertullian,[15] Hippolytus,[16] Epiphanius,[17] John Chrysostom,[18] and Augustine[19] all wrote that the ordination of women was impossible. The Synod of Laodicea prohibited ordaining women to the Presbyterate.[20]
