I thought that the quote from C.S. Lewis was right on. There is a tendency for some men to allow women, who have a strong propensity to serve, to take control of church affairs. The ideal situation would be for both to work together, supporting one another, and each taking on his/her God-ordained role. Obviously, there are some responsibilities that both should share in the church as well as in the home, e.g. children, dishes .

I'm not in favor of rigid laws in regard to male and female roles other than that which Paul prescribed in the scriptures, e.g. that the pastor of a church should be a male. Sometimes women have talents in areas that are traditionally thought of as male-dominated or male-only roles.
