I'm so sorry that you feel that way. I don't have my mind completely made up, but I can't speak for Lydia. And what you said about my reference is not true. That is not the only place that I've found that reference to the masculine form of the author of Hebrews. R.C. Sproul also mentions it, and there may be others, if I were to do a thorough search. The reason that I used that man's quote is b/c it was available on the Internet.
Anyway, I haven't had time to read all the links and references that Woodie posted. I didn't imagine that you two were so invested in this subject that you would feel that way about my questions and comments. I didn't think that they were offensive; I thought that we were having an honest discussion.
