There is hope for your daughter but i know that as the mother you are really going to need to take care of YOURSELF during this. It is great that an intervention is taking place for her. The intervention is no guarantee that she will elect to get into treatment and if she does it is no guarantee that treatment will end the problem but what is important right now is that THE RIGHT STEPS ARE BEING TAKEN TO TRY AND GET HER HELP.

Methamphetamines affect a part of the brain
that affect conscience. A person strung out on Meth is not the same person they were before the drugs. Meth actually affects the brain in the area of conscience. It is why an addict can hurt people and not necessarily care. Hopefully she will accept help and continue with support. Some people need to have some bouts of relapsing before anything sticks. Even while they are getting help they may not seem like they care about anything but getting ahold of the drug. With enough time away from it and support etc they can get better.

What is very very important is that you take care of yourself right now. I don't know if you are in America but wherever you are if you are in the West there is probably something like "Al-Anon" and maybe depending on where you live something specific to support for family and loved ones of someone addicted to Methamphetamines.
