We were in the COG from early 1970's until 1990. And yes, she was raised in the COG until she was 11. I once corresponded with a girl who had been in the Family, and she shared with me about her problems with her child - very serious problems. I said to her that it was really sad that our children who were supposedly raised in a Christian group have ended up with all these terrible problems. She shocked me when she said, "Oh no! This child was never in the COG. I left before I married his dad - we raised him in a very good Christian home." That really woke me up to the fact that it can be anyone's child who has these problems, even children raised under the best of circumstances.

Thanks for your prayers, and I will pray for you and your daughter, too. It's not only us and them, it is something that affects the whole family. Please stay in touch with how things are going. Believe me, I do understand.
