This was one aspect of Family culture we dumped faster than a hot potato when we got out. Me, my kids, their wives, my ex, my inlaws, my husband, our siblings--you name it, we're all sports nuts. Maybe that's a reason we didn't stay in TF all that long. We couldn't forsake the evil of sports.

I am on the most intense fan high this season with the Buckeyes. We're going to run the table and go the national college football championship. Yeah, getting all excited about that makes me worldly. I don't think it's a bad thing to have loyalties and tribal affiliations that lie outside the church. It keeps me sane and gives me a broader perspective on the world.
