I can identify with all that you've expressed. What I find fascinating is how my perspective continues to change as I get older. Experience and the Holy Spirit have a way of clarifying so many things.

I was attending a funeral of a friend who died from breast cancer a few years ago, and a woman who was about 10 years my senior told me that she was finding funerals to be much more interesting and profound than attending events like weddings and bridal and baby showers. She said that funerals dealt with the really important issues. Funny, but I'm beginning to agree her. Sometimes I have a very zen-like attitude about life.
