I know what you mean about the letting them grow thing. This year we are going to my oldest daughter's house and it's her kitchen. I seldom made the turkey, that was my mother-in-law's job, and then my step mother-in-law. But now it's my daughter's house and turkey and I'm bringing what she asks. That'll be different. I usually co-ordinated that, especially when the kids got older and became part of the participants in the cooking. {i] Thanksgiving and Christmas has been a really good experience and memory source since leaving the COG. I began to understand that families can be a deep and rich thing; a real source of strength and back bone in managing life.
Talk about changes, this year 2 of my sons are going hunting, and my oldest son is making DUCK for Christmas dinner. One daughter has already said, she doesn't like duck, it's too fatty so I will put a chicken in for her.
I'm not sure what else we will have but I know we'll have sausage balls on Christmas AM.
