A friend that recently married asked that friends and family give a donation to Compassion in their honor in lieu of gifts. I gave my donation several weeks ago, but have yet to receive any mail acknowledging that donation. I called the other day to inquire about the delay and they told me that due to the enormous amount of donations coming in at this time of year that they are a bit behind. I was happy to hear that many have made contributions to that organization. They remain one of the charities of highest integrity, as far as I know.
