No I've never seen "Home for the Holidays?" I'll have to check it out. Sounds like a winner.
Yes, my mother-in-law was a wonderful person and very dear to me. My Mother passed away while I was in the COG, and I guess my mother-in-law taught me how to be a human again when we left the COG. She was my first friend when I let as well. I didn't know much about being a friend, but she really did. even when I was a punk, arrogant, know it all and angry, she never let go. She just continued to love me.
Later I found out some of the things she said about me; I must have been one frustrating rascal of a daughter-in-law; but by the last 10 years of her life, I can honestly say she became my best friend. A hole in our life, oh yes. and the bigger the better; meaning to say, the memories are the better. My children adored her and their grief was the hardest to bear. She will always be one of my Heroes!!!
When did your mother pass away, Mir?
