I was in perimenopause since my mid thirties but at the age of 49 I had a total hysterectomy which threw me into instant menopause. That was rough but after a few years I was able to quit hormone therapy. I tell you, i do relate to many changes in my body! I think I did all my aging after hitting 50 and feel like 80 now at times. >:P
