Well I can't run anymore that's for sure, but I have discovered a love for swimming that blows my mind. It doesn't hurt my body to float around and occasionally sprint across the pool. For a couple of years the little red and I would go to the public pool in the summers, but now the big red lives in the house that has a pool out back. But for just plain good exercise, walking is excellent. I can walk for miles, slowly, only a mile an hour. Hiking with me is real boring for other people because I am so slow, but I can always get to my destination.

I recommend those two activities to help keep the body moving and flexible. Swimming is particularly good for people who suffer from arthritis and walking is wonderful for the heart and digestion.

Aging has not been kind to me. Menopause has been particularly harsh and I have had to work through some problems. My heart slows me down more than I like and the pressure in my chest at times is really uncomfortable. Other than that my health is pretty good, I'm just getting old.

That said though, I know an old lady who is 93 years old. She still goes out every morning and night, feeds her horses and cleans their corrals.
