Well, this is a deep subject and easy to get lost in!!! I heard a little bit on the radio. It wasn't just the Greeks who had their way, this type of society is common all over the globe. I can't remember which era, but in Old Europe and England it was status quo for the men to have prostitutes for their sex and their wives as mothers of the children who cooked and cleaned for them. Then recently, I watched this documentary showing a tribe in Africa and it was culture for the men to sit around all day while the women did ALL the work, heavy work included. And that's recent.
I say we've come a long way for sure. I wonder why it's been that way all over the world for the most part.
